Rumors-Here We Go!

Dear Friends,

I would like you to take a moment and read this post slowly and understand the magnitude of tonight’s performance.

Tonight, the Jenkintown community and beyond, will witness a group of individuals who have come together to create a theatrical piece that is top notch.  Your set is intense, your costumes fabulous!  You have come so far, as have I.  You have raised the bar of excellence…and have met that bar head-on.

You have worked so many hours, you have cared so much to bring Neil Simon’s Rumors to fruition.

Take a moment or two to bask in the sun, to let it all sink in.  This is a wonderful moment….savor it!!

Tonight, you all must be the consummate professionals.  You must take care of your props, your food items, your cloths, your lines, and your commitment to one another.

I remind you, if you alter any lines, add anything we did not rehearse, if you do not act with the utmost respect to all the time and effort that we put into this piece, I will not only be disappointed in you, but you will have let your entire cast down.

If someone chooses to act inappropriately while on or off stage, the spring drama will not continue next year.

Tonight…everyone must arrive by 5:30 p.m.  Please sign in!!

We will meet in the choral room at 7:20 p.m.

Oonagh, Sara, Mimi, Cameryn, Harley and I will be selling tickets and standing at the doors to welcome your audience.

Crew must dress in black!

Stephen and Ryan will start the music at 6:45 p.m. at that point the “house” will be open.

I suggest you pre-set the minute you enter the school tonight.

Below is a list of items each cast member needs to bring for all three performances.  These items are crucial to our show.

Please remember that EVERYONE needs to be at school Sunday at 11:45 p.m. to help break down the set.

Items to bring:

Dan:  3 Limes

Evan: 3 Lemmons

Cailyn: Ice for each performance

Patrick: Pretzels for each performance (we may have two already)

Jess C.: Lemon squares, brownies…whatever…for the last scene of the play

Olivia: 4 small apple juice bottles.

Jess M.: 3 Pens for the law to use instead of pencils

Rory:  3 small bottles or cans of sprite or seven-up.

We still need an APRON for Cookie.

You all need to bring in $15 for your shirts.

Remember:

No clapping for one another during curtain calls…please polish up your bows.

This is the last thing the audience sees.  The bows need to be quick, concise, clean!!

Be professional.

Are you all going out tomorrow night?

Is there a cast party?

You should celebrate your accomplishments together.

Without one another, this show would not be where it is today.

Bravo to you all.

I am very proud of you.
