Dear Friends,
I wanted to connect with you about the
upcoming production of TCWs.
I am very
confident that this show will be a wonderful experience for all those who are
part of the production. TCWs will
challenge our acting ability as we recreate multiple characters. It is a show filled with many
areas for the actor’s input as well as connecting with the audience (breaking down that fourth wall).
I am happy to announce that we will be
having several workshops lead by: J
Hernandez, who has worked at venues such as: The Philadelphia Artists
Collective, The New City Stage Company and The Philadelphia Shakespeare
Theater. These workshops will be geared
towards: “making the language accessible.
Reminding students that Shakespeare didn't write in a foreign
language. Taking them through various exercises, a few
scenes, make them play around with the language, put it in their own words,
then perform for each other and take a look at what it is they're working on
themselves”. J is a wonderful performer
and well versed in improvisation and Shakespeare.
I look forward to working with everyone
on this project. I will see you Monday
